Weather change = fish?

Even with the beautiful weather yesterday, the beaches were essentially deserted. You know what that means (groan), It takes fishermen trying before fish will be caught. Our very own Zach went out and found fish at sundown but that was the lone weigh-in. Another front is coming through today and that is usually going to get the fish on the feed. You have a better chance at catching a fish from the beach than you do from the couch!
The weather idiots must have worked overtime to put this together - Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain this afternoon. Highs in the mid 50s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
I got a lot of interest in having a Polar Bear Tournament already. I will try to get it all together and ready for sign ups by this weekend! Details to follow.
Ray talked me into putting a lot more reels and stuff on sale for Christmas. Come take advantage of us before I come to my senses.
Mike was the recipient of yet another award yesterday! This time, he was honored(?) for his feathered fishing prowness with Frigate birds and his new trophy is hanging in a place of honor above the rod building bench. Be sure to ask him to tell the story.

Grump is jealous again because I can catch a bird in mid flight and he can′t even get a little goose for turkey day. Maybe he should change his bait.............
Ask him how to liveline for Ospreys he has a story he′s hiding

Still fish to be caught!
The beaches were less than crowded yesterday despite the lovely weather. It would seem that a lot of guys put all their stuff away a little too early. We did have a few of those nice dinnner sized bass on the scale. The sundown fishermen did allright for themselves again. I would expect to have that early evening bite going on for a while yet. We have plenty of fresh Clams and fresh Bunker.
The weather idiots came up with this - Sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. Northwest winds around 5 mph...becoming southeast this afternoon. Hey, not a bad beach day at all.
We are thinking about having another Polar Bear Bass Tournament starting New Years Day and running through April fools day (appropriate for us, huh). Interested? Shoot me an email - tom@grumpystackle.com
If it wasn′t for bacteria, Mike would have no culture!

Dinner sized Bass
The weigh-in list doesn′t reflect it but there was a decent bite of those lovely 8-12 lb Bass yesterday. A lot of guys just don′t want to bother stopping to weigh in a 30-32 inch fish. Assorted artificials are doing quite well with the Bass. Teasers are still very effective whether you are throwing metals, plastics or other lures.
In the ″for what its worth″ department, here is the forecast for today - Sunny. Highs in the upper 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Ray put together some very sweet top quality blackfish combos yesterday at prices that nearly gave me a heart attack. Lots of other Black Friday specials to take advantage of too!
Mike doesn′t suffer from insanity - he seems to be enjoying every minute of it.
