Golly, Gosh! There′s fish out there!

Now that the rainy weather is gone and we are seeing some fishermen on the beaches again, we have some Bass being weighed in. (Did ya notice that when nobody was fishing, there were no fish caught?) Clams were the Bass bait yesterday although I did hear of some shorts on artificials. Not much news on bluefish but I expect that to change quickly. The water has cleaned up quickly from the big blow and the temperatures are falling gradually into the mid 60′s. Yup, It is time to alter schedules to get more beach time in!
The weather idiots couldn′t find any rain so the decided to over sensationalize the wind today - Mostly sunny and breezy. Highs around 70. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
I have been to the dealer showrooms for Shimano, Penn, Abu-Garcia, Berkley etc etc over the last week and as usual, found a bunch of new stuff that I didn′t know I needed! Mike is complaining already and he hasn′t even seen the bills. I will let you know as new stuff arrives because I requested immediate shipping.
No one really knows what makes Mike tick but we are all hoping it is some sort of bomb.

Improving conditions
We are still dealing with a shortage of fishermen but with most of the rain out of the way, we should get more participation today. Very little to report from the very few fishermen I talked to other than a short bass and some small blues.The surf is back down to normal and is cleaning up.
The weather idiots have this for the day - Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers this morning...then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers this afternoon. Highs in the mid 60s. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
I really shouldn′t complain about Mikes shortcomings, it is the long stayings that are the problem.

The Epa stopped by yesterday and asked Grump not to do anymore hollow core presentations. Seems he has become a mass producer of greenhouse gasses.............

Another wet one!
Yesterday was tough with only a handful of guys willing to face the wind and rain. Not as rainy today and the west wind will definitely reduce your pain if you give it a shot today. This is Bass water and Clams on a short/tethered fish finder would be a good choice. Plugs today? With the west wind helping, get em all wet! Fish are wanting to eat even if the water is dirty!

West winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent. Nothing like a clear and simple forecast, they may work on accuracy at some future date.
I may have stumbled onto a way to shut Mike up! I will just ask him to speak his mind!
