HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Thursday, November, 26, 2009 at 3:31AM
The gang at Grumpys wishes you all a wonderful day! We have a lot to be thankful for and our loyal customers are at the top of the list. Eat too much Turkey, have seconds of everything and triple up on desert! You deserve it!!!
OK, enough of the nice stuff and back to normal (well, normal for us).
We are OPEN our usual hours today 4:30AM till 10PM!
Surprisingly light beach attendance yesterday and not surprising, not a lot of info to share. The winds are light to nonexistant this morning and the water has laid down. I had reports of the water having cleaned up considerably and then another saying it was still dirty? Take a look at the live surf cams (to your left, above the weather info) and see for yourself. Ocean water temps are about 54 degrees which is about as perfect as it gets for this time of year. We have loads of Fresh Clams & Bunker so get out early and catch your dinner or come out later and work it off.
The evil weatherman has this to say about today - Mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid 50s. North winds around 5 mph.
Did you ever think that Mikes gene pool could use a little chlorine?

Previous Reports 11.25.09 - Happy Thanksgiving Eve! The weather must have been the reason for the light beach attendance and short weigh-in list yesterday. I did get to talk to a couple of guys at sundown and they were holding fine with 8 oz and the water was already cleaning up. They were also throwing AVAs and had some shorts for entertainment. With the light winds overnight, I would expect 5 or 6 for today and much cleaner water. Clams would be a first choice like it usually is after a NE wind. Bring the plugging pole and your long skinny metal with a teaser, the sand eels are still here!
The weather idiots have this to say about today - Cloudy. A slight chance of showers with patchy drizzle this morning...then a chance of showers this afternoon. Patchy fog this morning. Highs in the upper 50s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent. They had it wrong yesterday so they are trying to make it rain today???
We are open our usual hours on Thanksgiving Day - 4:30 AM till 10 PM. Come early to catch dinner or come late to work it off.
