Grizzly Sportfishing report, Lewes, 7-27

Flounder fishing remains good with plenty being caught on every trip. Croakers showed up good the day after our last report. Triggerfish have finally made a showing with the hot weather as well. The offshore action remains much better than the last several years so we are looking forward to a good August and September.

Mike Poslusny and friends had a nice morning trip catching our first batch of croakers and a couple keepers flounder as well. The guys from I.D. Griffith spent a day on the water and had a good catch of croakers along with several flounder releases as well. Derrick Berkheiser and friends had an excellent morning on the croakers. We then went on to harvest a couple of nice flounder along with plenty of throw backs. Hilton Stanley and family had another good catch of croakers along with a couple of flounder as well.

Jamar Myers and family had an excellent day. These guys, flat out, caught some flounder - sixty one to be exact, and brought home six nice keepers along with a good catch of croakers. Dave Beebe from Tide Runners Bait and Tackle right here at Fishermans Wharf took the family out for some flounder. We had an excellent catch of flounder, harvesting ten nice fish along with some croakers. Derrick Lewis and coworkers from Amtrak had an excellent catch of croakers along with several flounder that fell just shy of the size limit. Leon Sensing and family had a couple of nice flounder along with plenty of throw backs and a good catch of croakers. Scott Knerr and friends had a nice catch of eleven keeper flounder along with several releases before it just got too hot to keep fishing.
