What a nice night it ended up being on the water . Seemed on the way over to the deleware side that it might be a crappy night but the wind layed down and the fish finally bit my clams .
Took along to guys that work at hinch marina and we set up inland from the fleet at slaughters . We had about 12 to 15 foot of water with the moon tide.
Caught 5 nice size drum for the dinner table and lost the moma
This drum fishing is very new to me and to say the least i got beat by my first big drum. He put up a great fight and then found his way under the boat and sat in the same spot for about 25 minutes . We could not raise it , we would pull get a inch and he would shake his head and not move. So thanks to me we snapped the fish off. Well maybe later this week ill get my first big drum . It has not been for a lack of tring.
Good job John, Its a lot of fun when you get into them. The first time I ever Drum fished the same thing happened to me. It was a big boy and he got under the boat and I could not get him to move. Broke him off.
Once again, great pics! You're the king of the camera! And way to go with taking advantage of a great night! Just how long did it take you to get to the other side?!?
