Fresh water trout fishing @Thanksgiving

Took our Thanksgiving trip to the Mtns of SW Virginia including some great trout fishing. Got to the stream a little late wetting the first line just after 11:00am. The weather had cleared from the early drizzle and temp was around the 50degree mark. The boys love this stretch of water as it tends to produce alot of opportunities to land fish. Ended up with 2 nice 14" native browns along with multiple catch and release natives. This stream had been stocked the last week of Oct. and a month later we (10 and 12 year old along with myself)
caught limits in 4 hrs. of fishing.

White Marlin: since you sounded disperate for a place to fish...Friendliest town on the Appalacian Trail, Damascus, VA. White Top Laurel 3min drive from town. Been doing this off n on for close to 30 years and it keeps getting better.
PUHLEASEEE KEEP IT QUIET. Ton of streams in the area makes for great fishing, only 2nd time on this stretch.
