Flounder rigs

Wow...Just checked out the list/pics of goodies . guess I better get fishing. Couple questions> can you give some rigging and use advise on some of those fancy toys for flounder. I have always gone old school with live bait, but wanted to try some of the other techniques. In particular I hear alot about the Gulp Baits. How is everybody using these and what colors and styles are working? Also, I have always heard of including a bucktail on the rig, but have never tried this myself. And I eyeballed one of those crazy looking shimano jigs at the tackle shop the other day and was seriously thinking about trying one since it did look like some of the items found in the stomachs of the big flatties of recent years. These are Tap-Dancer rigs.Very popular in this area and up north.there are many ways to bait up a rig like this but the most popular is,strip bait of squid,fluke,belly,mackeral,etc.on the ball jig.and your minnowor spearing on the trailer hook


this is a tandum fluke rig,you can put your bait of choice on the skirted hook and a fluke sandwich(spearing &squid combo) on the plain hook.or as shown use a gulp bait on the plain one.

as you can see here lots of guys like to use a bucktail jig or a ball jig of choice where the sinker normally would go.

Gulp baits are the most popular soft plastic lure on the market today.the best selling baits are 3"+4"shrimp in new penny,natural.4"swimming mullet in pink,chart.,pearl.2"peeler crab in new penny,natural.
