FLOUNDER FISHING IN THE BAY

6/11, 6/12, 6/13 I was fluke fishing all three days in the bay.

6/11 the Long boys were on board. We fished the Ocean City as well as the Somers Point side of the bay. The better action was on the Somers Point side. We caught 18 Fluke but only kept one fish. 17.5" All the other fluke were around 15".

6/12 the Fagan group was with me and we got an early start before the boat traffic got bad. The action started before the tide started to move. The first Fluke was a nice one 20". We went a long stretch getting small fish around 15.5" before we got our next keeper which was 16.5". We did box one more fluke at 17". One of the young anglers caught a nice Bluefish which was about 3lbs. The total Fluke caught for the day was 36 with 3 in the box and a Blue. Man if a few more of these fish were an inch bigger.

6/13 the Vandewater family was up for some Flukin in the bay. Got off the dock early and went to the spot we were at yesterday on the SomersPoint side. Things started out slow but we did get on a slough that had fish. Once again a lot of small fluke. The action was not as good as the day before but they had fun. We boated 21 fluke kept one. Wish these fish would grow faster.
