    Flounder

Anybody ever fished in deep water for flounder?

What the heck ... I guess I'll talk to you about this one as well.

Looks like we are the only ones on the board tonight.

    Two words: braided line.

I think the draggers fish offshore in the winter.
I've done some dives in the early spring in like 120 ft of water
Some times the wrecks are covered with flounder.

Flounder wall paper I call it

When your drift fishing, I don't think you realize how tight the flounder can be schooled up. By the time you reel 1 or 2 in your boat is out of them .

On the offshore wrecks and reefs short drifts or a swimging anchor are the way to go.

Short drifts over productive bottom is the way to go.

You would have to dive to really see it.
You can get a pretty good idea on a party boat when like 30 people
    hook up at once.

I would love to dive a couple of wrecks that hold flounder and other stuff in NJ.

I think it really helps your fishing skills
You get a good perspective of how things really are and how they act underwater.

I found a web site the other day that had footage of flounder following a bait on a top and bottom rig. Awesome stuff. There are five or so fish swimming after the bait. I'll have to search and post the link.
