I'd rather fish the wrecks off Va Beach than try and fight the crowds inshore. You can catch them earlier and later than all the inshore boys and consistently get nice ones. If you hit a good spot you can anchor up on it and just flip the baits out and jig them back to the boat. I definitely agree with the braid. In the summer you'll catch the flounder, sea bass and triggers all on the bottom, then come up a little shallower for the spades. If you want to get really greedy you float a couple of live baits off a ballon and hope for Mr Cobia to come a calling, or maybe a king.
