Fishing exploded this from the back bays of Somers Point out to the Canyons. Everything from Flounder to Bluefin Tuna were being weighed in.
Capt. Eric was out at the GE Reef on Thursday on the O’Beth with a small group and had 4 nice keeper Flounder up to 3 lbs out of 24 and a couple of nice Sea Bass. Mike Fox on the “High Trend” weighed in Bluefish up to 11.57 lbs at the 28 mile wreck and Ron Kovler on the “Next Case” weighed in Bluefish up to 10.18 and had a Bluefin to go with them in the same area.
On Saturday Scott Torrens and mike on the “Life is Good” had 4 keeper Flounder and 3 throw back as well as Sharks and Skates at the GE Reef. Things were on fire all day between the 28 mile wreck and the Cigar. Bruce and Sally Gosser on the “Captains Lady” limited out Bluefin Tuna and had a large Bluefish and was headed back to the dock in less than a half hour, Gaton Simiriglio on the “Sea E Oh” got his Bluefin and 16 Bluefish in the same area.
Out in the Canyons Bill Hass on the “Rose Lee” had 12 small Bluefin in the Lindy while the “Lady Barbra” had Mahi-Mahi and Lou Cosenza had small Bluefin in the Spencer they ran across a pod of Bunker outside of the Bell Bouy and boated a 21 lb Striopefr that they weighed in.
On Sunday Bill Cimochowski weighed in 2 Weakfish one at 8.02 and a second at 8.35 and Bluefish caught on Lures in the GE Inlet.
On Tuesday Jack Kanz weighed in a 4.79 lb 22 ½” Flounder and Gaton Simiriglio weighed in a 8.73 lb. Bluefish he picked up at the Cigar trolling, a 3.53 lb Sea Bass, 2 Flounder 3.49 and 3.65 lbs he picked up at the Deepwater Reef.
