Smile Fishin Fool - Striper Fun 2/15

Boat: Fishin Fool
31' Contender FA

Crew:
Lucian (lmontagnaj - Fishin Fool)
Capt. Mike Beane (Kapoc - Blue Dragon)

It's been a month since I've had my boat wet and an H2O Fix, so I called my friend Capt. Mike Beane and we headed out to Cape Henry for a little Striper action.

Upon arrival we found semi sloppy seas and put out our spread. A little while later, Mike was cranking in a nice quality rockfish and we had 1 in the box.

We trolled around picking up one here and one there, never getting more than a mile and a half from our starting position. The bottom machine showed nice bait marks and a few fish so we stuck with it.

After a couple of hours of trolling around we ended up with a keeper limit of four and released another 5 or so. We took turns grabbing rods and cranking in fish.

Most came off the bottom on various baits. We did manage 2 in the mid water column. No one bait out performed any other.

I talked to a lot of great guys out there, most seem to be catching a few nice fish. I took a couple of pics of Louis and Chuck on the Hooked Up, they had a nice catch at the dock.

Final Talley
4 Nice Stripers
5+ Released Stripers

Not too bad for a couple of hours work and the least amount of gas I've used on my boat lately.

Another Great Day with a Great Crew!!!

Here are a couple of Pics!!!
