The die hards fishing the Seaside area are still getting a lot of short stripers. Didn't hear of any keepers. I don't think many, if anybody will be fishing today. with the cold and the wind it isn't very nice out there.

Not many fishing but I did hear of a few stripers being caught. Only thing is they did not say where, so it could have been from the surf or from a boat, or even from the bay. Don't forget our winter sale goes on until tomorrow.

Today you can REGISTER with the Federal Goverment at www.countmyfish.noaa.gov or call toll free 888-674-7411. I am already resistered. The system does have a problem for right now in that it can not take a zero for the first number of the zip code. I called and there is people there to take your calls. She told me to enter a nine (9) instead of the zero. Make sure it shows correctly in the next page before you confirm it. You can print it or just take down your number. In 30 days you will be mailed a nice card to carry. You MUST have this card when fishing before then the temp or the number is ok. I hope the state of NJ wakes up before next year because the government is going to have a $15 to $25 fee next year.

First off I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. Second don't forgot to REGISTER with the Federal Goverment tomorrow at www.countmyfish.noaa.gov or call toll free 888-674-7411. Third, there were a few fishing the surf yesterday and some stripers were caught. I didn't hear of any keepers but one never knows if there is still some keeper bass around. Had a report that some of the party boats fishing for mackerel did find some out at the Mud Hole. Some guys are going out fishing for tog but I have not heard anything.
