This week started the 2009 fishing season for the Reel Fantasea Charters as we kicked off the year with a "warm up" winter flounder trip. Regulars Joe Frankie and Jay Simmons picked away at 14"-16" winter flounder, boxing a total of 6 fatties (not fatties) with a few missed fish to keep the guys on their toes and interested until the trip's end. It wasn't great fishing but the weather cooperated perfectly (Friday 60°F) and it was fantastic to be back at it with Friends Joe and Jay and sharing some laughs and good times and reminiscing about trips past and future.
