The Pez Machine fished today South out of Oregon Inlet. Basically cruised to the "gulf stream" grounds and trolled two 130's with ballyhoo until we found marks then jigged. I lost my first fish after about 30 minutes. Another fish may have hit the leader line because the line broke off clean. Tied on another jig and soon after I was hooked-up again. This time with an even bigger fish. Capt Stew Hitchner maneuvered the boat perfectly and when the time came first mate Brian Cartlidge tossed the harpoon and hit the bulls-eye. Game over! 72" We got into big fish and we were in them all day. All fish on jigs 300 grams and up. FYI, yesterday a new unofficial NC State record Bluefin Tuna was caught (I think It was 112" 800lb) caught aboard the Sea Breeze a local NC boat. They got it trolling. We are going back in the morning to see if we get get on them again. Hopefully the Pez Machine will find its "trophy fish" over 73".
