Not many fishing the surf right now but for those who did, they had catches of a few short stipers with a keeper now and then. The water temps are in the high 40's and with the passing NE storm we had Friday the water temps should warm up nicely. The party boats who are fishing the wrecks for ling and sea bass are still going strong.

The striper bite has turned on in the bays. Barnegat Bay produced catches of bass from the flats and sedges when using plugs and clams. Raritan Bay catches of bass is good from boats and the banks when using clams. Little Egg Harbor river has herring that the bass are chasing. Best to live line herring to catch them. Heard that bunker schools have showed up around Graveling Point/Pebble Beach area and the bass are chasing them. Make sure you bring rigs to snag the bunker so you can live line them.

Few herring showing up in the Delaware River around Trenton. Also stripers are being caught as well. Bloodworms are the bait of choice.
