The guys fishing the surf at night are catching stripers but they are mostly shorts. Hopefully with a lot of people off for Good Friday more will be fishing today and we'll have more to report. Good catches of ling from The Mud Hole and big sea bass from the far off shore wrecks.
Most of the hot spots in Barnegat Bay and Raritan Bay is producing good catches of stripers and flounder now. Clams is the best bet for stripers and bloodworms for flounder. Try fishing the flats in the bays during the day. The sun warms the water faster there and turns the bite on. Graveling Point stripers have been really good at night on the incoming tide. Most are shorts but there are some keeper being caught.
