Few short stripers with a keeper thrown in here and there are still being caught from the surf in IBSP and Pt. Pleasant. Other wise not much happening from the surf.

The striper bite has turned on but not in a big way yet. Had reports of bass being caught in Barnegat Bay from the flats, sedges, and the Causeway bridge area in LBI, from the Toms River, from the banks and from boats in the Raritan Bay and from Graveling Point/Pebble Beach area. Most are shorts but also keepers are being reported. As the water temps are raising so is the flounder fishing. Reports of good catches of flounder from Barnegat Bay. Also had reports of herring being caught by the Causeway bridges of LBI.
