Fisherman Fred's Fishing Report, Hamilton,NJ, 9-27-10
Saltwater / Jetty Report: 9/26/2010
Update 9:00AM
I have aready had reports from the south part of Seaside and IBSP that small bluefish and some hickory shad are being caught from the surf. Make sure you take the heavy rods and 6 to 8 ozs or larger metals as the NE wind has the surf roughed up a bit today.
Yesterday was the day of small bluefish. Mullet and small metals were the ticket to catching them. They were caught from LBI all the way upto the Ortley Beach area and that is just because I had reports from there. Kingfish are still being caught off of LBI on bloodworms, Gulp bloodworms, or fishbites. The Barnegat Inlet rocks is producing some blackfish on green crabs or clams and also some smaller sea bass.

Bay Report: 9/26/2010
Most people are fishing for snappers, blowfish, seabass and blackfish in Barnegat Bay, Great Bay and Tuckerton Bay and having good luck. Barnegat Bay You want to most likely be fishing around the BB, BI, and 40 buoys or the sod banks. Great Bay fish the banks around the creeks. I had a few reports of weakfish being caught from Barnegat Bay but where who knows as I wasn't told. Here is a tip, if you have live spot of catch some live line them, the weakfish and stripers love them. Crabbing has picked back up now that the full moon has come and went.
