Fisherman Freds Fishing Report Hamilton NJ 3-8
Saltwater Report: 3/7/2010
The surf temps are in the lower 40's still but should be warming up with all this sun. We could see some action in the near future. No reports of any keeper or even short stripers from Graveling Point yet.

The surf is still quite. Few guys have been fishing it the past few days. I have not heard of any stripers being caught at Graveling Point yet either. Looks like the bays are the place to fish for stripers right now.
Bay Report: 3/7/2010
No reports of any more keeper stripers being caught but have had a few reports of some shorts. Bloodworms and small plugs are working. I have had no reports out of the Raritan or Sandy Hook bays.

Looks like a great start to the striper season in the bays. Have reports of more keepers being caught. The bridge going into seaside produced a 10 lb bass yesterday. Also hearing that a lot of shorts are being caught. This is great for water temps in the 40's. Bait of choice has been bloodworms but small plugs are working too. Reports of a few flounder being caught with the bloodworms when striper fishing. Don't forget to release the flounder if you do catch them as they are out of season until March 23. This is another good sign.
