Saltwater Report: 2/15/2010
Nothing, nada, zilch for the fishing. I have not even heard anything from or about party boat fishing as well. Ok I had someone ask me and I have found out that ZeeBaaS reals made in 2010 will now be Made in China just as the Van Staal's are. There is no warehouse stock of Made in USA reals left. If you want one Made in the USA you will just have to search online or local tackle shops. The only real in this class that is Made in USA is the Penn Torque. This high end product is going to be produced in Pennsylvania.

Looks like we may have some good news, but will not be sure until we see what he does. Oh yeah the news, the NMFS has a new head guy, Eric Schwaab. Eric was the former deputy chief of the Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources. Seems that some of the commercial fishing people were not happy. One reason is that Eric doesn't have all the scientific degrees (I hope this leads to common sense). He is also said to be thought of favorably by recreational fishermen.

As far as the fishing, nothing going on. I am getting the store ready for the coming season and placing orders. Hopefully I will have some custom made plugs this coming season. Also I am still looking into doing some custom rods. The first will most likely be "The Fisherman Fred's" 9 foot surf plugging rod or a 6 foot 6 inch fluking rod. So keep your eyes on the website for more info as soon as I can tell you.
