The report from the beaches has not changed much. Oh I almost forgot that the Governor's Cup Tournament is this Sunday, October 2 on Island Beach State Park. If you want more info about it click here.
LBI: 1-5lb blues, kingfish
IBSP: 1-5lb blues, few stripers
Ortley Beach: 1-5lb blues
Ocean Beach: 1-5lb blues
Pt Pleasant: 1-5lb blues, few stripers
Jetties: blackfish
Canyon fishing has been the best it has been in a few years. Albacore, yellowfins and some longfins are the main catches.

Bay Report:

Well the reports kept coming in even while I wasn't here that the blowfish are still all over Great Bay, Tuckerton Bay, and Barnegat Bay. Rreports say some are boating over a 100. Of course they keep the bigger ones (30-40) for a nice dinner. Also some blackfish are being caught from Great Bay on the sod bank ledge drop offs. Did hear of some people also getting 1 to 2 dozen crabs off the docks and bulkheads still. Crabbing has really slowed now.

While I was gone some are fishing as I did have a few reports. Sorry no one left where they were fishing but the reports say that bass, pickerel, catfish, crappie, sunnies, and a few carp were caught. This cooler weather seems to have turned the fishing on so get out there and fish. Don't forget we are open at 7AM on Saturday and Sunday for now.
