Fisherman Fred's Fishing report, Hamilton, 8-29
Saltwater / Jetty Report:
We do have some flashlights, lanterns, and light sticks left. As far as I know we will be open until 6PM today.
8/27/2011
Few fished the surf yesterday from IBSP and points north but no reports. Did have reports off of some jetties that some blackfish were being caught. I don't think any will be fishing today but we will see.

Few were fishing most were leaving. Mandatory evacuations already in in place for a lot of shore areas. LBI is one of them and Seaside will decide this morning I have been told. If I hear anything more I will post it here. Water temps have dropped to 65 and this might help slow the storm down some. Please do not head to the shore this weekend. Play it safe and stay home. Because of the storm it looks like we will be closed Sunday. As for fishing not many reports. LBI and IBSP had a few small blues and fluke and that is all I heard.

Few fishing the surf so reports are light. LBI and IBSP had catches of small blues and a few fluke. Jetties are still producing some blackfish and small blues. A few boaters have already pulled their boats to avoid the rush, others are out fishing. Still some good fluke from the reefs. Garden State North & South seem to be the better ones right now with Little Egg reef being hit or miss. When you do hit it is some nice sized fluke. Irene looks like it will be here Sat. night into Sunday. Right now they are saying it could be a category 2 hurricane.
Bay Report:
8/27/2011
No reports as most left or boats were taken out or battoned down for the storm.
8/26/2011
Not much going on because most were leaving the shore yesterday. Today a lot of places (LBI included, Seaside will decide this morning) have mandatory evacuations aready in in place. What this means is you have to leave. Please do not think that you can ride out this storm. Because of all of this I didn't have any reports come in.
8/25/2011
Great Bay, Tuckerton Bay, and Barnegat Bay had good catches of snappers, blowfish, and kingfish. Crabbing in some areas is hot others where there is fresh water run off has slowed down some. Looks like the weather people are saying a category 2 hurricane. Guess we will just have to wait and see.

Few fishing and no reports. Few in for bait this morning so that they can get some fishing in before the storm.
8/26/2011
Did have some reports come in from those who fished once it cleared up a bit last night. Some bass and pickerel from AMC and Miry Run. Looks like today and tomorrow is the only days you might get some fishing in. Also it looks like we will be closed Sunday.
8/25/2011
Not as many fishing as the past few days so the reports were kinda light. Bass and sunnies from Town Center, bass and pickerel from Etra Lake, AMC, and Miry Run. And that is all I heard. Looks like from later today until the weather is going down hill so you may want to get out there today.
