Just a FYI before I get into the reports. Just got in and already had reports this morning from IBSP and Seaside that stripers in the 8 to 20lb class are being caught.

Ok now I can get into the reports. Water temp is 56.8 and there is hardly any wind. Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day for stripers. All up and down the coast no matter where you fish they are catching some stripers. Most of them are being caught on bait such as clams or bunker but artificials are working. Mostly it is AVAs but Storm shad, bombers, sand eels, bucktails or rigged eels are just to name a few. All I can say it is now time to put your time in. If you want to catch a striper the game is on. No really big cows yet but these stripers being caught are only the first waves of them. They are good dinner sized fish.

For boaters if they could get out, the place to be was north of Barnegat Inlet off of IBSP and Seaside. Stripers were caught while jigging. Trolling has not been producing at all yet. Just find the working birds and start jigging.

UPDATE 1:05PM
Been told the wind is not so bad now and the surf has laid down some. Reports out of IBSP, Seaside and the Pt. Pleasant area have stripers being caught on clams, bunker, AVAs, and teasers.

UPDATE 10:20AM
Some reports starting to come in now. Stripers were caught from IBSP on clams, Seaside and Ortley Beach on AVAs. Like I have said now is the time to be fishing, so get off that couch and go.

8:05AM
First off don't forget to turn your clock back a hour tonight. Water temp is 56.5. Almost at that mystic magical number of 55. The morning yesterday started out nice but then the wind came up out of the north and made it hard to fish surf and boat. There were stripers caught in the morning but didn't hear too much else. The stripers from LBI are on bunker, IBSP/Seaside it has been bunker, clams, AVAs and other metals. Further north it has been clams and bucktails. Had a report from the beach this morning already and the wind is out of the north at about 10mph right now. There are rollers but you can hold with 8ozs so far. Was also told they saw a few stripers caught but didn't know just how big they were. So lets get on to the reports.
LBI: stripers to 20lb
IBSP: stripers to 17lb
Bay Head: stripers
Pt Pleasant: few stripers
Jetties: blackfish, blues, stripers

Party boats had a few stripers north of Mansquan Inlet yesterday morning. But the best action was just north of Barnegat Inlet off of Seaside and IBSP. Jigging has been the best bet for now. Find the birds working and you find stripers. Good thing is not many blues to interfere.

11/4/2011
UPDATE 9:50AM
Just had a report that the VHF had party boats jigging some stripers some where off Mansquan Inlet this morning.

9:10AM
Water temp is 58.8. Yesterday was a pretty good day as 15 stripers were weighed in for the Classic. All but one was caught on bunker, the other one was one an eel. Right now it doesn't make too much of a differance what bait you use. LBI it is mainly bunker, IBSP/Seaside it is bunker and clams. AVAs, Deadly Dicks, needlefish, Storm shad, rigged eels, bucktails, and sand eels are working. So throw a bait rod in and use some type of artificial to plug close by. Looks like you should just be out there fishing now and not sitting on the couch. On to the reports.
LBI: stripers
IBSP: stripers
Ortley Beach: stripers
Bay Head: stripers
Pt Pleasant: stripers
Jetties: blackfish, blues, stripers

Boaters, if they made it out the inlets had stripers. Off IBSP in about 40 foot of water under working birds they had 10 to 15lb stripers while using Fin-S and AVAs. North of Mansquan Inlet some of the party boats had stripers when jigging. The stripers are full of sand eels.

11/3/2011
UPDATE 10:55AM
Few reports trickling in from the IBSP/Seaside area that a few stripers are being caught. Info is very sketchy right now. I will update if I hear more.

9:05AM
The morning was tough going as there were some rollers and you needed 10ozs to hold. Water temp is 58.3. Already had a report that the surf is still a bit discolored but it has laid down and is very fishable this morning. Because of this it might be best to have a bait rod in the water while you plug. No word yet on any fish caught. Yesterday saw a few stripers caught off of LBI on bait. Last night I had some reports that IBSP produced some stripers from around the Judges Shack on black bombers. Also IBSP and Seaside had some caught on AVAs, plugs, teasers, and bait. Ortley Beach, Ocean Beach, and Pt. Pleasant had some stripers as well. So the bite has come back. Right now it seems to be a better afternoon bite.

Boaters got out again yesterday and had blues up to 15lbs and stripers in the 35 inch class. No word on where they are fishing or what they are fishing with.

11/2/2011
The NE wind we had yesterday jumpped the water temp to 59.2 this morning. Good thing the NE wind did was to kick up the striper bite a bit. LBI had stripers from throw backs up to the 20lb class. IBSP/Seaside had stripers on metals and teasers. Ortley Beach, Ocean Beach, and Pt. Pleasant had some stripers as well on clams and plugs. Sounds like boaters stayed home yesterday because of the wind.

11/1/2011
UPDATE 2:15PM
Ok some reports now coming in from Seaside and IBSP. Stripers were caught on metals this morning but most were caught on bait. Both clams and bunker are working. Have not heard anything from LBI, but that doesn't mean nothing has been caught. This time of year there is more caught then what you hear about.

9:10AM
Water temp is 57.7 this morning. Wind is out of the NE but not too hard yet. This could make it really good for stripers today. If you are going to bait fish I would take along the heavy rod just in case it gets really rough. There were some out fishing yesterday and of course there were some fish caught. Most were caught on bait. LBI it was bunker, IBSP and points north it was clams but bunker did work. LBI had stripers up to 20lbs and blues up to 10lb caught. IBSP/Seaside area had a few stripers caught. Didn't hear from any other beaches yesterday but I would bet some stripers were caught. The main body of stripers are not here yet, but as the water temps drop they should be soon. You just have to put some time in now. Do not wait until you read a report or get a phone call.

As for boaters most went no further then the inlets. So really no reports from outside yesterday. One good thing sea bass season opened today.

10/31/2011
Guess we are lucky. Funny to see so many schools closed to the north and west of us because of snow in October. It could also be due to all the people without power still. Also be careful driving this evening because of the trick or treaters out there. Well third week of the Classic is over and only 61 fish are weighed in. I believe that is way down from last year. That could also be because of the lack of people catching stripers as well. So on to the fishing action. Water temp is 58.1 this morning. Bait was the ticket yesterday. Water was cleaning up nicely so plugs should start to work again soon. Not a whole lot fish so reports were light yesterday.
LBI: few stripers
IBSP/Seaside: couple stripers
Few reports from the bays yesterday. Stripers on eels from some places in Barnegat Bay and that is all I heard yesterday. I would also bet if anybody fished Little Egg Inlet they had some as well. couple stripers
Jetties: blackfish
Boaters that fished The Sea Shell Tournment yesterday did catch and weigh in some stripers. A 34lb striper won it. Other then that I didn't hear much.

Bay Report:

11/6/2011
Little Egg Inlet could be fished yesterday and guess what? those who did had stripers. It isn't hot and heavy yet or any huge stripers but there are keepers being boated. Also Great Bay, Little Egg Harbor Bay, Barnegat Bay, and Barnegat Inlet all produced stripers. Seems clams, live eels or live spot is the ticket right now.

11/5/2011
Stripers were being caught from Great Bay, Little Egg Harbor Bay, Little Egg Inlet, Barnegat Bay, and Barnegat Inlet yesterday. Live eels or live spot is the best bet but artificials did work. Most of these stripers are in the 24 to 27 inch range but there are a bunch of keepers mixed in.

11/4/2011
Little Egg Inlet was pretty rough yesterday so most tried fishing Little Egg Harbor Bay or Great Bay and had some pretty good luck with stripers. Live eels, spot, or clams is the bait of choice but some are being caught on artificials. Most are in the 24 to 27 inch range now but the best is yet to come. Also a few were caught out of Barnegat Bay.

11/3/2011
Well some good news from some of the bays. Seems the striper bite has picked up even though most are throw back. Great Bay and Barnegat Bay did have some good catches yesterday. Live eels and clams seem to be the ticket right now but I am sure plugs will be working soon as well. Carbbing is done for the year as all the hot spots are now only producing a handful for boaters.

11/2/2011
Few reports from the bays yesterday. Stripers on eels from some places in Barnegat Bay and that is all I heard yesterday. I would also bet if anybody fished Little Egg Inlet they had some as well.

11/1/2011
Barnegat Inlet is producing some stripers when fishing live spot. Little Egg Inlet is producing when fishing clams. Also have been hearing that Barnegat Bay there have been some catches of stripers when fishing live eels. Looks like it is slowly getting better.

10/31/2011
Some did fish Little Egg Inlet yesterday and they had some stripers. The conditions were much better. Also heard some stripers are being caught out of Barnegat Inlet on live spots.

Some out fishing and a few reports came back. Bass and crappie from the three Assunpink lakes, bass and pickerel from Colliers Mills, Miry Run, and Etra Lake, bass and sunnies from Town Center. Lake Mercer a few muskie are being caught. Also some large and small mouth bass from the Delaware River.

11/5/2011
Not many fishing and that means no reports came in yesterday. Looks like a great weekend to be fishing.

11/4/2011
Nice day and some did fish. Only reports I received was bass and pickerel from Miry Run and Etra Lake.

11/3/2011
It was a nice day but few were fishing. Even so I had some reports of bass and pickerel being caught but wasn't told where. If you think it is too cold for the fish you would be wrong. Don't forget people pull fish through the ice in the dead of winter. They still have to eat just like you. Only thing is they slow down, so you have to fish slower.

11/2/2011
Pretty nice day and a few reports came in. Miry Run and Etra Lake had some bass and pickerel caught. Gropps Lake had a few bass caught.

11/1/2011
Since we are closed Mondays now for the winter I can not say if anybody was fishing. Only thing I can say is that there were no reports. We are open all winter and do carry fat head minnows, at least medium shiners and a small supply of worms all winter. We also have tip ups and ice jigging rods for the ice fisherman
