Fisherman Fred's Fishing report, Hamilton 11-2
Saltwater / Jetty Report: 11/2/2010
IBSP the word was big bluefish for most of the day. Poppers, swimmers, and metals was working. So you might as well say anything you used worked. As for stripers, LBI had a few caught on bunker in the morning, IBSP and the Seaside area had some caught on bunker and clams, also heard that Brick Beach had some caught in the morning but I didn't hear what on. The north jetty of Barnegat Inlet stripers are being caught all the time now when using live eels. I would say that if you are reading the reports then you lose as the fish are there to be caught now. Water temp is now 57.

Update 10:50AM
Action on IBSP is still going on.
Update 9:45AM
Big bluefish blitzes going on IBSP. Poppers and swimmer plugs are the ticket.
Update 7:55AM
Reports of a few stripers already being caught on bunker from IBSP and the Seaside area.
Don't forget today we start our winter hours. See the right sidebar for what they are.
What started out as a very slow weekend Saturday morning turned out not to be so bad. LBI had a bunch of stripers caught from the north and south ends, with a few being caught mid-island. Most were caught on bunker. IBSP and the Seaside area had a bunch of stripers caught starting Saturday evening and continued right into Sunday. Yesterday there were also some bluefish caught as well. There were no so called blitzes but a good pick of fish. The striper were mainly caught on clams or bunker but a few were caught on plugs. The north jetty of Barnegat Inlet is producing some striper day and night when fishing eels. Boater are having to troll off of IBSP for stripers as not many are being caught off of LBI yet. Water temp is 59.

Update 10:20AM
Reports of some striper action from the bathing beaches on IBSP. Seaside Park bite is still on as well. Few stripers were caught from the LBI surf this morning.
Update 9:05AM
Had a report of some striper action in the Seaside Park Area on poppers.
Slow day until dusk then the bite turned on for stripers on bait. It could be time to put all your time in fishing as the water temps is now in the upper 50's. LBI had some action from the north and south end but not in between. IBSP and the Seaside area things picked up in the early evening and some stripers were caught on bunker.
Bay Report: 11/2/2010
Barnegat Bay and Little Egg Inlet produced catches of stripers when fishing clams, live eels, or live spot. The bite is getting better now so get out there. Some are again fishing sea bass as the season re-opened yesterday.

Barnegat Bay and Little Egg Inlet produced a few catches of stripers yesterday when fishing live eels, spots or clams. Problem was the water level was really low because of the wind.
10/31/2010
Barnegat Bay around Holgate is where it seems to be the best right now for strippers. A lot of people are fishing around the 112 and 113 buoys. Little Egg Inlet is also producing some stripers when fishing clams. Also the dike by Barnegat Light is not doing too bad when using live spot or eels.
FRESH WATER

Had a report from Bulls Island area of the Delaware River, he caught two good size small mouth and two rock bass. Other reports bass, pickeral, and crappie were caught from Gropps Lake, Lake Assunpink, and Miry Run. Town Center had some bass, sunnies, and catfish caught.

Some great small mouth bass fishing going on right now from around Bulls Island in the Delaware River. Also some great fishing for bass, pickeral, crappie, sunnies, and catfish from almost all the local streams, ponds, and lakes. I have been asked plenty of times lately if anything is still biting. Well the answer is yes they sure are. Right now is prime time to fish fresh water as the fish are feeding for the winter. You may have to change the way you fish by slowing things down or use live bait such as minnows or worms. I caught some of the biggest fish this time of year. So just go fishing.

WOW is all I can say. The cold front must have kicked the fish feeding into high gear. Had reports from all over tha bass, pickeral, crappie, sunnies, and catfish were being caught.
