UPDATE 2:15PM
Jason just stopped in with a keeper (30 inch 8.25lb) from the report below. See the photo gallery.
UPDATE 1:15PM
About the last hour or so they have have been banging stripers from South Seaside Park just before IBSP (old Top of the Mast). Once again it was AVAs with a green tube with a teaser. Most are shorts but a bunch of keepers are mixed in.
UPDATE 8:50AM
Reports this morning already from IBSP and the Seaside area that they are banging stripers pretty good. A lot of them are shorts right now with a few keepers thrown in. Now is the the time to be fishing not waiting on a phone call or reading a report on a website.
7:50AM
Water temp is 57.9. A weather front came through and so did the fish. A weather front is a great time to fish but a lot of people don't like too because it means it is most likely raining. Well guess what, yeah that is right, the fish don't mind the rain. So with that said guess how yesterdays report is going to read? yeah you guessed that one as well. LBI had a bunch of stripers being caught on bunker with a few bluefish thrown in for some fun. The IBSP/Seaside area had a ton of stripers caught on thin metals with a teaser, clams, and bunker. Lavallette, Ortley Beach, and Pt. Pleasant also had reports of stripers being caught on clams and metals. I also been told that needlefish are working on the night bite. So are you reading this or are you fishing. If it was me I would be fishing.
Boaters once again had a good day outside in the ocean. For the few who did try it they had stripers being caught from Barnegat Inlet south to the Brant Beach lumps. Was told these fish went from 8 to 20lbs. Jigging has been getting the job done, only thing is what color to use. Just take a bunch of colors and if one color dosen't work they try a different one. Trolling is also working when using Stretch plugs or umbrella rigs. Umbrellas with tubes is working best because of the tons of sand eels in the water right now. The fish that are being caught are loaded with them.

Had reports waiting when I got here this morning. IBSP north to Seaside (at least that is were reports were from) reported stripers on thin metals with teasers. Why? you ask, well it is near perfect conditions. Water temp is 57.6 and the water is clear with just little white caps to it, light wind and overcast, and you can hold with 4ozs.
Reports from yesterday now sound like a broken record because it basically is. Of course the word of the day was stripers. The LBI surf slowed down some yesterday but don't get me wrong there were a bunch of stripers caught on bunker chunks. Just not as many as the past few days. IBSP, Seaside, Ortley Beach, Ocean Beach, Bay Head and Pt. Pleasant had stripers caught as well but not as many reports. It could have been the light turn out of people fishing. A lot of shorts are being caught as well. Of course it is thin metals with a teaser doing most of the catching in those spots but clams and chunked bunker is working.
As for boaters most reports came from the LBI area with the Brant Beach area being the hot spot. Jigging with green AVAs or Deadly Dicks with a teaser was the ticket yesterday. But then we all know green is hot one day and another color is hot the next. If green isn't doing it then change up. Most of these stripers are in the 7 to 20lb class. Off of IBSP had some action as well but there were no birds to mark the spots. Good news for the people who fish blackfish, the limit is 6 fish at 14 inches starting today.

Water temp is 56.8. Stripers, stripers, and more stripers. Do you know what is being caught from the beaches right now? Not a ton of people fishing because it was Monday and everybody was most likely at work. If they were not at work and wasn't fishing boy did they miss out. I am one that missed out. I was going to go but thought better of it because I have so much work to do around the house. Well I did get some of it done. Well on to the reports.
LBI had some stripers caught on bunker. I have heard a lot are releasing their catches because they know it will not win the classic. I think this is great. Yesterday IBSP north to the Seaside area lit up on the morning high tide. A bunch of stripers were caught by those who were fishing. Most were caught on thin metals with a teaser above it. Some were caught on bunker or clams. You you can fish today get out there at high tide. Also some are being caught at night on plugs and bait. A few stripers are being caught to the north but not in great numbers.
It has been a bit tough for the boaters lately. The ocean has been pretty rough. Yesterday it was fishable but it did have some good swells. Only heard of a few stripers being jigged from off of the IBSP/Seaside area. I heard nothing from about that was trolling.
Bay Report:
11/17/2011
It was quiet out of the bays yesterday. I would bet most boats stayed at the dock yesterday because of the weather.
11/16/2011
Little word from the bays yesterday. Little Egg Inlet did have a few reports of stripers being caught on clams. I guess most are outside fishing stripers now so that makes it hard to get bay reports. I would guess there are stripers being caught from Great Bay, Little Egg Harbor Bay, Barnegat Bay, and Barnegat Inlet as well but maybe they are keeping it to themself.
11/15/2011
Not much word out of the bays. Most likely because it was a Monday and most people are at work. Only report I had was stripers were being caught from Little Egg Inlet mostly on clams.
11/14/2011
Didn't hear too much from the bays yesterday. Only a handful of reports from the morning. The afternoon the wind started to howl and most went home. Little Egg Inlet had a few striper caught but you had to work for them. Did hear of a couple of stripers out of Barnegat Bay as well.
11/13/2011
People did fish the bays yesterday and they did catch some stripers. Seem Little Egg Inlet was a good place to fish bait. As a bunch of stripers were caught on clams and chunked bunker from there yesterday.

Kinda of a wash yesterday because of the rain. I did talk to a few fishing Lake Mercer for muskie. I was told that some smaller ones (up to 35 inches) were being caught on live bait.
11/16/2011
Very few out fishing yesterday. So once again there were no reports come in. If you are fishing please send us your report either good or bad. Thanks

Since we are closed Mondays it is hard to know how many are out fishing. It was a great day to be fishing not going to get many more like that. I did have one report, some bass and pickerel were caught from AMC.
11/14/2011
Some out fishing in the morning but no reports came back. Most went with shiners and worms.
11/13/2011
Great day but a bit windy. People out fishing. Reports of crappie and bass being caught from the three Assunpink lakes, bass and sunnies out of Town Center, and bass and pickerel out of Miry Run, AMC, and Etra Lake.
