Saltwater / Jetty Report:
LIVE EELS
Live eels are now in stock come and get them! They will be selling for $1.80 a piece for now. That price is subject to change.
10/23/2011
Water temp is 65.7 this morning. Slowly getting there. Reports from a lot of places that stripers are being caught on mullet which for now is weird. The reason is the mullet run seems to be over and the bass should be feeding on bunker, sandeels and other stuff now. Well I guess if I ever did figure it out I could be a rich man. On to the reports.
LBI: stripers
IBSP: blues, stripers
Ortley Beach: stripers
Pt Pleasant: stripers
Jetties: blackfish
Boaters are getting a few stripers but they have had to work for them. There are no hot spots yet. They are also picking away at some bluefish.

UPDATE 8:15PM
As I was writing the report, I received reports from IBSP/Seaside, Pt. Pleasant, and Manasquan that there are stripers being caught on mullet this morning already. They are not big 10 to 20 lbs but hey they are there. Maybe the storm kicked them to feed.
8:10AM
Well yesterday was a bit better of a day. Water temp is still 66. LBI finally had some stripers caught again. Most are coming from the north end of the island but other places are producing also. I see there were five stripers weighed in for the Classic. IBSP/Seaside did produce a few stripers. As for boats nada. It must have been the wind again. I did hear a rumor of a big striper being caught some where down around the Tuckerton area on a live eel. I will tell you more if I find out any thing.

Well the water temp is 65.7 this morning. Slowly getting to where we need it. Guess the wind scared most off yesterday as I didn't hear too much at all. The few who fished LBI, IBSP, Seaside had little luck but then again the reports were so thin you can see through them. Did hear that up in Pt. Pleasant there were a few blues caught on metals and a couple of stripers on poppers. Other then that nada. Well that wind kept boaters at the docks once again so no reports from them. Good thing is the weekend is looking like it is going to be very good for fishing. The big plus is there are now some nice bunker pods and tons of other bait around. Oh and if you didn't know it, you can't catch fish sitting on the couch watching football. Waiting on that phone most the time means you miss it. Got to be there to be in on that blitz.
Bay Report:
10/23/2011
Not much going on in the bays. There was a parking lot of boats fishing Little Egg Inlet but Only a couple of stripers were reported being caught. Most was that was being caught were skates. In case you didn't know skate wings are one of the best tasting things to eat. Crabbing seems to be almost over now because even the boats are only getting a couple of dozen now and they have to work for them.
10/22/2011
Not much going on in the bays lately. Some did try to fish the inlets with little success. Little Egg Inlet did give up a few stripers but I didn't hear much else. People still crabbing are doing ok from boats but docks it is very slow. Looks like this season is about over.
10/21/2011
Great Bay, Tuckerton Bay, and Barnegat Bay was quiet yesterday as I didn't hear anything from any of them. That nice breeze that was blowing kept most at the dock. Also a lot will be fishing outside now for blues and stripers so reports will be thin. Just have to see what the next few days bring.

Very nice day to be fishing yesterday but there was still a bit of wind. Looks like today is going to be great but it is a little chilly for most I would bet. What does that chill do it makes the fish feed for the winter. They have slowed down but if you slow down a bit you can still catch a ton of fish. Few reports but no word on where they were fishing. Bass, pickerel, sunnies, crappie, and some catfish were caught. Did hear some are fishing Lake Mercer for muskie and having some luck. I got in XL Jitterbugs and they do work pretty good for them.

Nice day but still a bit of wind. Some out fishing and only a few reports came in. Town Center had bass, sunnies and a couple of catfish caught. Miry Run had bass and pickerel caught and that's all I heard. Looks like a great day to be fishing today.

Only a hand full fishing because of the wind. So what does that mean? yup you guessed it no reports for yesterday. Still a bit of wind today but looks like it is going to be a great three days to be out fishing.
