UPDATE 12:10PM
Reports from Seaside by the old Top of the Mast and IBSP Two Bit Road and Area 23 that big bluefish are being caught on metals and bunker.
9:10AM
Surf is tough right now. Some are fishing but not catching too much. Heard there were some nice pods of bunker off of Belmar and Seaside yesterday but not many fish in them. LBI did have reports of some small blues being caught. IBSP/Seaside had a mix of small blues all the way up to some monsters. There has also been a few stripers caught at night as well. Boaters were fishing the bunker pods but only a few blues were caught out of them.
10/18/2011
Great day but most must have been at work because very few were fishing. Water temp is 66.9 this morning. Didn't hear anything from LBI yesterday so that means no fish weighed in for the Classic. IBSP/Seaside had a few stripers caught and some bluefish as well. Don't look for birds working right now just walk the beach and you will find them. As far boaters only thing I heard was party boats are doing ok with blues.
10/17/2011
The west wind was still at it but not as bad. Water temps have dropped some (66.6 this morning) so we can only hope things get kick started soon. Did have some small blues to 5lb, croakers, and and a few kingfish caught off the LBI surf. IBSP/Seaside had some small blues on mullet. Heard of a few stripers being caught from the Belmar surf and that is about it. Another day of no reports from any boaters.
Bay Report:
10/19/2011
Some did fish the bays but caught nothing. Looks like the great blowfishing is over in the bays for this year. Don't think many will leave the dock today because of the weather.
10/18/2011
Nice day but not many fishing the bays.Looks like the blowfish and kingfish have or are moving out now. The hot spots that were producing them have slowed to one or two. So until the stripers hit the bay most likely most will be fishing outside now or pull their boats for the winter.
10/17/2011
Once again the west wind kept most at the dock. So once again not many reports. Most that did fish the bays didn't have much luck. Only heard of a few blowfish out of Barnegat Bay.

Another nice day with a bunch fishing. Bad thing is reports are getting hard to come by now. Did hear some but not where. Bass, pickerel and catfish were caught. Today looks like a wash because of the rain.
10/18/2011
What a great day but only a couple of reports. Town Center had a few bass and sunnies caught, while Miry Run had bass, pickerel, crappie, and catfish caught.
10/17/2011
Another nice day to be fishing yesterday. Some out in the morning before the football games started. Few reports of bass and pickerel from Miry Run, Etra Lake, and Colliers Mills lakes. Some bass, crappie, and sunnies from the three Assunpink lakes. Town Center had bass, sunnies, and a few catfish being caught. The Delaware is still high but some nice channel catfish are being caught. Plus a few small mouth were caught from the Bulls Island area.
