Lots of short stripers are still being caught on 007 AVA's with a few keepers also being caught on them and bait (clams and bunker) from the Lavalette Ortley Beach area, Seaside, and IBSP. LBI the best bet has been bunker. Most are being caught in the Brant Beach Holgate area. Reports that boaters are doing very good with blackfish

Few stripers were caught from Barnegat Bay, Little Egg Inlet, and Great Bay. The reason for this is that there is still some bunker around in the bays and as long as there is the stripers will hang around in the bays. You may want to fish sedges and around the banks. Had a report from Jim that he caught four stripers from Ridgefield Park on the Hackensack River. Largest was 20lbs. He was using a jig head with a twisty tail on it.
