Fisherman Fred's Bait and Tackle report, Hamilton, 3-19

    Saltwater Report: 3/19/2010
Few people fishing the surf but no reports of stripers yet. Graveling Point is now producing a lot of short stripers. With this warm weather the surf should come alive very soon.

    Bay Report: 3/19/2010
Not much info coming out of the bays but I bet there will be a lot out there this weekend.

    Fresh Water Report: 3/19/2010
Few trout being caught from local lakes that are stocked. Also a few bass and pickerel. Most streams are still running very high and are coffee colored.

Yesterdays weather brought out a bunch of people that were going fishing. Good thing is it is only going to get better. Had a few reports that the pickerel fishing in the pines is doing good. Live shiners is the bait of choice. Locally fishing has been ok at best. The water is coffee colored from all the rain we had. Fishing live bait such as shiners or worms would be your best bet. We have worms, shiners (med/lg), and fathead minnows in stock. I have not heard much from the Delaware River lately. If I hear of any stripers being caught I will let you know.
