Heard of a few small keeper stripers being caught from the Seaside area on plastic eels and teasers. Water temp took a big hit last night, it is now 41.5. Looks like it is over for this year. Most likely only resident stripers now. I have not heard anything out of Trenton about the free registry bill. If you want you should register with the National Saltwater Angler Registry Program just as you did this year. If you do it now it is free and is good for a year. That way if NJ doesn't pass the bill it won't cost you $15.

A few brave souls did fish the surf yesterday. Had a few shorts and a few keepers caught on plugs from IBSP and the Seaside area. Most have packed it in for the year so reports will be light now. Water temp is 44.

Now that the LBI Surf Fishing Classic is over most will pack it in. I didn't have any reports from LBI yesterday. Only a few reports from other beaches as well. A few dinner sized keeper stripers were caught along with a bunch of shorts from IBSP and the Seaside area. the cold and wind has cooled the water temp down to 45.

Bay Report: 12/8/2010
No one fishing and now even the charter guys have packed it in for the winter. Most likely there will be no reports until spring now.

Windy, cold and one thing for me to say, welcome to the start of winter.

12/6/2010
With the wind and clod those who have boats in the water didn't even leave the docks. So what does that mean? no one fishing the bays.

Fresh Water Report: 12/8/2010
Did have one report that perch and a few crappie were caught from Lake Assunpink. Some have been saying they can't wait till there is some good ice to go fishing.

No one fishing because of the weather, windy and cold. I had more people buying fishing line for hanging lights and stuff then I did buying anything for fishing.
