Fisherman Fred Bait and Tackle, Hamilton,NJ report 10-7
Saltwater / Jetty Report: 10/6/2010
The surf has laid down and is now fishable. Did hear of a few short stripers on clams and some smaller bluefish being caught from IBSP and the Seaside area. This storm could have been the key to get things started. The air temp is in the 40's and the water temps are in the 60's. I would really start fishing now if I could. Boaters are not going out because of the storm. Not even most party boats are staying in the dock right now. I would call to see if they are sailing before you go.

Update 10:05AM
Here is the Governor's Cup Winner information, Gary Grimm of Flanders, NJ won with a 30.5 inch striper. Not hearing much from the surf today yet.
Only the very hardcore even tried fishing yesterday and basically I had no reports. It should get a bit better to fish today with the wind suppose to go west. Few good things about this storm, it has dropped the water temps into the high 60's, it will make the fish wanting to feed, and it may have made some new cuts that you can fish. If you are going to try today your best bet is to deadstick clams but plugs could work as well. You have to fish the low tides as well. If we hear anything today we'll let you know.
Fresh Water Report: 10/6/2010
Few people went fishing later in the day. Only had one report that a few bass were caught from Miry Run but the water is coffee colored because of the rain.

A couple hardcore guys went later in the day but I never heard back from them. Water is very high in some areas and very dirty.
10/4/2010
Not too many fishing must be because of football or something. Water is still coffee colored but it is clearing up. Did have a few reports of bass and pickeral being caught from Miry Run and Prospertown Lake, bass and sunnies from Town Center, and bass from Gropps Lake. The Delaware River is running pretty high right now so I have not heard of many fishing it.
