Well, as we all know the weather has just SUCKED!! Seemed like the sun has not been out for a month and the wind has been blowin the rain sideways for just as long. But yesterday SATURDAY, Oct 15th, 2005, the SUN was out, NO rain, the wind was cranckin but it came around to the WNW.
SOOOOOO I threw all my STRIPER GEAR on board FISH TALE, took the lines off the dock at HARBOUR COVE MARINA in Somers Point, NJ and headed south along the ICW, destination: UTSCH'S MARINA IN CAPE MAY FOR STRIPER SEASON. Took the back route because the GE INLET was DEATH for anybody who was nuts enough to try to get into the ocean. Man, the ICW takes FOREVER. But I got there.
For the next two months I'll be STRIPER fishing in and around the RIPS of CAPE MAY, NJ, sailing out of UTSCH'S MARINA. First trip is next Saturday and I can't wait. I have a couple of dates open in NOVEMBER and early DECEMBER. If you're interested, give me a shout so we can get it in the book. Here are a few pics from last year. Just a little taste of what it's all about.

How long did it take to make the trip down the ICW. I guess it must have seemed like chunking in the bay when nothing is biting.
Welcome to the hood and let's hope for a great striper season.
