Fish The Drop Off Fishing Report

Greetings!


Boy, the weather has changed since last weekend. This week was filled with rain, wind, rain, wind and wind again for the the weekend. There are plenty of tugs on the lines when we are able to get out. Last week saw great tog and trigger action with small blue fish and spike weakfish along the beach. The surf guys are getting blues and some stripers at night with plugs and bunker chunks. Have had a couple of reports of some stripers being landed in Little Egg Inlet, so we are starting to see signs that the season has begun. This weekend was a wash but next weekend is going to begin the fall striper tournament season. If you are looking to book a private trip or an open boat trip, now will be the time to do it. Striper Tournaments

There are four striper tournament in the area and as of right now, The Drop Off will be fishing in two of them. The first one is the Tuckerton Redmens Lodge Oct 21, 22, 23. I do have some openings to fish in that one. Next is the Italian American club (used to be the MICA) and the Sea Shell. IAM one is Oct 28, 29, 30 and the Sea Shell is Oct 29,30 ( I do not know yet if I am fishing them) The last is the Stafford PBA on Nov 12 ( This is filled already)
