Father's Day Weekend Report

Shark fishing was on the menu this past Saturday. We fished the Hambone off OC Md. The crew was son Timmy and friends Fred and Dan. We started the day catching Bluefish for bait. The first fish we got was an Ocean Sunfish (MolaMola). One of the hoochy rigs we were trolling snagged its’ fin. Timmy was quick to the rod and ended up with an unusual released fish. We caught all the Bluefish we needed in quick order and proceeded to shark the rest of the day. We ended up seeing a couple of Dusky sharks and catching more Bluefish. Once the chum was gone we trolled towards the barn looking for BFT (Bluefin Tuna). We gave up after releasing a number of Bluefish.

Timmy and I went out on Father’s Day looking for Seabass and Tautog at the African Queen wreck/reef site. We caught plenty of small Seabass and a number of nice sized Tog. We were even back home in time for a nice Father’s Day crab dinner.

Great report....

It seemed like you guys had a great day on the water. Thinking of making our first ever shark trip here in NJ very soon.
