It has been real good right now in 30-40 fathoms for Wahoo, smaller but legal Yellowfins, Dolphin, and White Marlin. I think it should continue to be good all through October. Good Luck!

Hey,
There's lots of fishing to be had - Tog (tons of wrecks and structure to fish), Seabass, Stripers -in a month or so, and my favorite - the whiptails, should be comming through now because of inshore water temps. Anymore, there's really no reason to take the boat out of the water until late December. I know that I personally get tied up with hunting once September rolls around, and fishing starts taking a back seat. I have a feeling that a lot of guys get that way, and that may be why you haven't gotten many responses. It's hard for me to easily describe the lay of the land, but we keep our boat in Lewes - the northern point along the coast. The absolute easiest place for me to suggest keeping your boat for a few weeks would be in Lewes, at Lewes Harbor Marina. The owner's name is JB Walsh and he's pretty laid back. Boat storage is what he does, and he has two travel lifts as well as a private ramp on site. There's a new public ramp that was just completed in Jan, but to be honest - it sucks. It looks pretty, but isn't practical for a 28' boat and the truck that tows it. The spaces are tight, the turns are tight - the docks arent far enough out in the water and don't even have cleats because of the American Disability Act or some shit. My suggestion would be to work out a deal with JB to store the boat and use his ramp for whatever timeperiod you wish. There's a great tackle shop/fuel dock, on site, the owners are Joe and Amanda and they're just nice people - no price gauging there. http://www.lewesharbourmarina.com/ A quick spin on Google Earth my give you a better perspective of the area I'm talking about. Hope to see you down here, feel free to shoot any more questions my way |

Ditto on the above post. Plenty of fishing left. Last week we picked up a 41lb wahoo and plenty of reeling action on the false albacore.
We too run out of Lewes! |

Take a look at the reports on this site and sunset or OC fishing center
http://www.ocsunsetmarina.com/fishing_report.php that will give you an idea of the fall fishing and if it worth it to you. Best of luck |
