The whole week we went back and fwd on the thought of heading out on sun due to the forcast but it came down the last few hours and bryan (c time) called me with an updated forcast from his site and fishweather saying the same we were set. At 4:30 we pushed out and headed east for the long run to the bluewater. After we cleared the cape I sat back in the chair and cranked to tunes on the ipod till i started to hear the famillar voices of the rudee fleet like mike, steve, and josh after a quick chat with steve i figured out we were all going to be streched down the line looking but close enough to jog to. after a few hours I ran across a 2 degree break on the 22 fm line with a weedline so we put lines in to try for some dolphin after a few minutes we get mobbed by chickens then pick up a small gaffer then the grass kinda fades off and gets scattered. About the 5th time of shaggin the whole spread with little to show for it we point the bow east again till we get to the 100 fm line and join the circle where there is a steady pick of whites and an occasional dolphin. Within minutes we get the first one up on the teaser about a 70 lb fish that is all lit up but has a little too much energy and missed 3 baits and head butted the pitch. then it was singles and doubles wrecking havoc on the spread for four hours but in the end i had some unexpected difficulties that kept us from running as smoothly as wanted. I probably should have had brought the dredge and all the gear for whites but we were looking for meat so that was my fault. In the end 0-6 on whites 3-5 on dolphin and saw enough whites for one day
If anyone is wanting to get out looking for charters for whites NOW IS THE TIME . If not with us then with the rudee fleet that was banging them out as well sometimes in as SICK wolfpack of 6 fish at a time.
