Well that guy at NOAA should go back to marine weather school, or be made to ride out "1 foot or less" sea conditions he called for today. It was 1 foot or less at the dock,a bit more like steady 3's in a short period chop, and some other interesting wave forms thrown in for fun. I know it was wind against the tide and that's the way it gets, but this morning around No.1 buoy kept the legs busy trying to stay under your body. The bite was slow to medium, with some mutant size croakers, a few spike trout and some nice 5 to 6# bluefish. Surface water temperatures around No.1 was +78*f and inshore around on the run in we ran thru some +82*f water between 8 and 12 buoys. Other than getting the snot beat out of us, it was nice to be back on the Big Pond after missing most of the summmer and getting hooked up a few times.
