    DELAWARE BAY (NJ) REPORT

    November 12

Left out of Bree Zee Lee Marina and headed to a spot South of Tussey's Slough. Marking bait and stripers, so we anchor and get a chum slick going. Forecast called for SSW 10-15 kts, seas 2'-3'. Well, more like steady 15 and more 3' than 2'. Started taking waves port beam to. By 2:00, we had enough and moved to the lower 20' Slough, nice little ravine LOADED with bait and BIG marks. Waited an hour and at bottom of the low tide, bam, bam, bam! We boated a 39", 4 @ 36" and 1 @ 30". All fish were fat, nicely colored and no parasites.

    November 13

Headed back to the spot where we left 'em biting the day before. No wind and flat seas despite NOAA's 10-15 kts, sea 2'-3' forecast. Lot of bait and lot of big marks. We get anchored up and then 10 minutes later, we're in the middle of a squall/front moving across the bay. Luckily, wind (15-20 kts, gust over 30.....so said NOAA 2 hours AFTER the squall blew through!!!) was with tide and seas were solid 2' whitecaps. If there was to be a bite on 11/13, the squall squashed it!! We did manage one fat 34".

All in all, not a bad 2 days on the water. MUCH better than staring at four walls, a computer monitor and an adding machine!!
