I was at the CBBT last weekend ,and saw a boat with a rod rigged with a
daisy chain of pink squid . I did try a string of ceder plugs once . No takers but looked good in the water . jose
Last year I made several Buck Tail daisey chains for early season Ocean striper fishing. It was my go to lure for stripers. String 5 bucktails together as droppers...attatch a MOJO to the end of the string and fish in the short position off the transom.....WHite was my best, Green followed up 2nd...Bob
Commercial hook and liners have been doing it for years that way. As mentioned above it works best fished short with lots of lead to keep it down. This allows the baits to work more of the water column. Rather than following behind each other they swim above and below each other. This also allows for some long tandem rigs and such to be trolled without tangling all together with the chains up close. I will say it is not the most sporty way to fight the fish but it does put MEATNBOX . HOLWACHAGOT
Sarge, if you want I'll put up some pics of the way I know to do this. I have several loops to wind on to the reel. As line is let out the leads are snapped to the loops. Kind of like a dangler rig or planer bridle attatchment. Holwachagot
