I'm sorry, looks like some good natured ribbing went WAY wrong. Honestly that's what my first post was and I am sorry if it was taken any other way.

Maybe we should start another thread about who you imitate and how you learned to fish. Seems that might be a bit of an education in it's self.

Flat, I don't know that I have any real secrets. I do try to tweak a thing here or there just to make it a little better.

That daisy chain came about when I was still selling some lures. We had done a whole bunch of 1/4 oz bucktails with 9/0 hooks in them for a guy up north, well over a 1,000 of them. He disappeared and here we were stuck with all that, and all my guys local had bought all they wanted. I was also just learning offshore fishing. It seemed natural that if a daisey chain would work offshore that it would work inshore, it was just a bit of trouble figuring how to rig it up so it wouldn't break. It is rigged just like Tommy Tuna rigs up a cedar plug daisey chain right down to the dropper loop lengths and spacing between the baits. The first ones would break because I hadn't added the bead yet, no need for that on the cedar plugs since only the trailer has a hook in it. I don't remember where or how the bead came into play, but it fixed the breakage problem on the droppers. Sweedes got a hold of it when he was picking up some new molds we had cut for him. That was before the bead got added.

If you want to see something really cool, get Byrd to post up a pick of his sand eel dredge. That thing is scary to try and handle with a fish on, but very effective on the ocean stripers when they are chowing on the sand eels. The only thing that scares me as bad is JakeG's infomous Hopkins 550 6 arm spreader. 13 Hopkins 550's, all with hooks on a 6 arem bar. That works on stripers and hoos. But you are taking them off the hook, not me.

    Discounted Striper Lures

After being cut off twice this weekend around the CBBT I decided to look for some cheaper umbrellas and chains than what was selling on the Shore Drive area. Customoffshoretackle.com has both umbrellas and daisy chains for $19.99. Much cheaper than what I was buying before.
