CRABTOBER!!!!!!

MAN THIS FALL HAS BEEN HOT HOT HOT FOR CRABBING!
Sorry for another crab report but haven't been doing much fishing since the crabbing is on FIRE!

Set out this AM with my neighbor, 30 topless and 600 ft of snood!
It was like warm summer morning out there! LIKE GLASS!
Between the mouth of the Bush and Gunpowder
First run, sloooooooooooow! Tide turned and holy moly!!!
Looks like we picked the right spot because these things were freaking huge!
After the 3rd run we decided we weren't going to keep anything under
7-8"
On the snood almost every 3rd bait had a crab on it
Traps could have been better!
Well after a couple more hours we probably threw back a bushel and had our limit of 2 bushel!
Turns out a little more than 9 dozen crabs equals 2 bushel, WTF
Did not catch one female, evidently they are all heading south. When they move on you know it's coming to an end
It's been one hellava fall
GOD I LOVE THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AND BEING HOME IN TIME FOR FOOTBALL!!!!!!
GET OUT THERE AND GET ON EM' BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!

I saw crab meat for sale at the supermarket yesterday and it looked good. I think I will go back there and buy some. I'm sure it doesn't taste like fresh caught crab but the last time I had blue crab was several years ago, when I was a kid.
