    Cool

Hey Ravens, noticed the ice. Just curious, how is the best way to keep some crabs fresh for awhile? I'm assuming alive in a tank is the best if you've got one, but if you caught some crabs one day and wanted to eat them the evening after, what's the best way to keep 'em fresh & cool?

For that matter, how about oysters & clams? Heard differing opinions.

    Thanks.

They can stay for along time on ice, just have to make sure that they do not sit in the water. Freshwater will kill them
I keep the cooler on an angle with the drain plug open and I also have some larger rubbermaid tubs I drilled holes in the bottom for the water to drain.
Remember to keep the lid cracked, fresh air helps
I use ice to calm them down before steaming. I have left them on ice for 5 hours or more
You can keep them also in a fridge if you have one in the garage, buddy of mine keeps them for a couple days like that
Clams and oysters in the fridge
    Hope this helps

Chris, nice to have friends like that
