Capt Timmy & I had both boats out on Fri. Timmy had Brian Steltz out for his dad's birthday and they never have caught a Striper before and they caught very well, limiting out with 10 fish and Brian,s dad catching the biggest of the day weighing in at 38+ lbs. Most of the fish they caught were in the 20 lb range.
I had Sean Groome and his buddies fly in from FL to try for some of these big fish we've been catching as of late! These guys have never caught anything bigger than 28lbs. but they did very well on Fri.
I was in a differant area than Timmy was and found a few fish there but they were big! The crew caught 2 fish and broke their old record by quite a few lbs. Jack landed the first fish that pulled the Boga down to just over 40 lbs! Nice fish Jack! The next fish that came over the gunwale pulled the Boga down to just over 34 lbs. The fish seemed to have buttoned their lips all of a sudden in that spot and at that time Timmy called me and said he had a triple on, so I pulled anchor and when I got there Timmy had dropped the ball and was fighting their biggest of the day! After I got setup we only had 2 more bites and they landed both fish! The first was 26 lbs and the last was just 20 lbs! But the guys had a blast and said they can't wait till next year! Here is a picture from Timmy's charter on 11/13. I don't have all the details other than they did limit out with fish up to 42 lbs.
