We got a late start because of a wedding on Saturday and was feeling a little ill. We got on the water at Barnegat Light around 10:30 and cruised the inlet tossing bucktails and metal because of some reports of blues. Nada, so we ran up into the bay and got some advice from the Sea Tow guy and anchored up with a bushel of clams. We chunked very heavy for about 5 hours and just about low tide I got a real nice 26" striper. It was nice and fat and fought hard for his size. We let him go and stated marking fish but we had gone through a whole bushel of clams. Next week we are bringing 2 bushels.
