As far as I know, no one has ever done it, not even the great and masterful Dr. Jim. At least no one has ever registered it for the plaque. I'm like you, I have hit two species in the same evening, a couple of times with an hour of each other, but never all three in 24 hours.

I'll be bouncing around the shoals like a man with no job this year ..... No injuries to hold me back...getting Huck Finn out of dry storage on saturday to sand her down and put two coats of paint on her....Then I will drop her back in the water around April 12th or 15th and I will be out there every day possible....and imagine that Darren....I won't have to bother you all the time for a ride out, blaring my music so even the fish are scared....I hope you are feelin better bud.....been thinking bout ya and hoping you the best.

I will be doing numerous 24 hour excursions for the slam this year. I am counting down the days now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok man i'm out of the area for a few years i'll let you in on the area that got me on the slam....i never got the paper slam but the three in one day that i've done. on the south side of 9 ft shoals the bay side 1/4 nm from the bridge start in 13 ft of water the outgoing will net you your reds and blacks and on the incoming you will get you chance on the cobia. I've done it a few times all during the day we landed over 40 reds and 7 blacks 2 cobia chances (1) boated at 62 lbs...hope this helps

Now that sounds like a good day of fishing. Not many have done that one certainly not those numbers. That sure beats a day at work!

How far north do find the reds in those waters? I know that the blacks, stripers, and even the bluefish go way up but I never here much about the Reds. I would just love to fish that long ass shadow line on a good night!

I'm not sure how far up the bay they go. I mostly fish them right around the CBBT. The cobia I will fish all the way over to Hampton. I have never hit numbers like that on the reds. A good night would be 6 citations. Now the blacks I have had nights where we had to stop and go in with over 30 papers to the boat. And I have caught all three species in a day, but could never get that cobia big enough to make citation size.

    awesome red year last year

we wore the big reds out last year , none over 50" like year before last but we had paper almost every time we went. (1 time we didnt if I remember right,I hope for a repeat this year, lol) biggest cobe we had was 65" (pic is in the gallery) and released in the daytime. My mate had the only paper black on the boat last year, I had one 40"ish undersized- it was a pisser because blacks were being caught on both sides of us and all i could manage were reds. that sucked,.....hahahaha ,not really, lol) we have caught the blacks as a sidecatch- not actually targeted them a,as we fish only ocean side but I think we will attempt the black grounds at least once this year!!! Duane, you know where I hang out, look forward to seeing ya there!!!!! (but not too close, lolol) yall got me pumped- Til , I have never met you before but i'll keep my eyes open for you-
Kapoc- thanx for the tip- i know you had a good year last year as well, sounds like a great spot!!! there is just too much congestion up in there for me- I like the solitary deal, lolol.
