I have not seen too many central Jersey (Monmouth/Ocean) striper reports so I figured I would throw one in. Captain Jay had the Wally World out on Saturday with owner Chris and fiancé Danielle, he made a run up north and was clamming. He had trouble getting the fish to him but managed to get about 10 smaller fish.
On Sunday Jay and I had a charter onboard the Wally World and ran all the way north and it paid off we were the third boat there and we had the fish around us for a while. We managed to have a steady pick until everyone else came over, then it became a parking lot. We decided to troll back into Manasquan and we were able to pick fish all along the way home.
It seems as though the bass are coming back down the coast and there was a good amount of bait in the water. Whatever method you tried, clam, troll, or jig you were able to pick bass from Sandy Hook to Manasquan.

thanks
thanks for the report... I've heard they are all around, IBSP to the Hook, but mostly shorts... Clams have been the best so far, I hope to make a run at them this week sometime.
Heard they were killing them in the surf around Chadwick, but again smaller fish.
most of the fish are "cookie cutter" fish, but some larger fish are being pulled out. I have seen a few 20 pounders and one 45 pounder. there are also some fish south of IBSP but that is a good choice if you dont want to round the corner.
