Went out twice this past weekend and both days, we were able to jig and troll bass from Long Branch to IBSP. Each day we were able to jig/troll about 70 fish. And anyone who has been out recently know that the throw back to keeper ratio is about 50 to 1 (not so hot).

The real reason for this post is to call a person on this board a LIAR!!! That’s right a LIAR! He knows who he is and has a history of this activity. This particular person broke the inlet (Manasquan) about 15 minutes later than we did. We were both headed in the same direction, but we did a little exploring before we made our way to where we planned to fish. About 45 minutes after him breaking the inlet, he calls us on the radio and says that he has 6 keepers in the box. So we get right next to him and find the same small fish that we just left. About 20 minutes later we call him as how he’s doing and he tells us that he has 7 in the box. Ok, good for him we figure. Later that day we hear him say to some one else on the radio that he has 6 in the box…. one must have escaped back in.

We made it back to the dock about 30 minutes before him and we were eagerly awaiting to see his 6 or 7. We get back in and ask him where are his 7 fish. He answers back something to the extent of “ 7? What 7? I had 4”. This is what we were expecting. So we were watching him like a hawk to see his fish. We figured since he had people on board that he would clean the fish for them. NOPE. Just pack up his gear and drove away. No pictures, no dividing up, NOTHING.

WHY?????
