Caught a 46'' bluefin inside the hambone!

Started off slow, went out to the poormans and saw nothing at all, Got inshore of the hambone and started to see tunas airin out all over the place! Got one, a nice 46''er! Great day weather wise. Saw lots of big ones but only had the one bite on the left wwwb.

I'm gonna try and get out next weekend. I'm only gonna go as far as the Fingers. I don't know how well it's gonna work, but if the fish don't bite on the troll I'm gonna try throwing an eel and jigs at them. I can't imagine any fish resisting an eel.

I agree I think that eels will work well. Try to put a kite up if you see them airing out. Have the eel skipping on the surface and pulling out of the water ever so often. Try rigging it on a circle hook with floss it will keep it from getting pulled off the hook from a short strike which you might get. Try pulling 2 split billed ballyhoo wwb on the riggers with the kite down the middle and go slow 2-4 knots if you find the fish. Good luck.
