It's Sunday night, 5/2/10. Our wrists are sore from being HANDCUFFED by the FEDS!!

Friday, 4/30 (the last day of blackfish season), our pool winner was "Medford Leas" Jim Wolosin from Medford, NJ. Jim hoisted a 5-lb. tautog over the rail.

Friday afternoon we went on charter with the Southern Regional High School Fishing Club. Led by Mr. Jason Hoch, his fisherpersons (about 30 or so) expected to be fishing for blackfish. We explained to them the tautog bite that day was poor at best. We all agreed to go for stripers and bluefish. We put jigs on all the rods. Shortly thereafter, member Richie Herrick from Waretown, NJ (15 years old) had a runner. It took about 15 minutes or so but Richie BEAT ALL with a 34.9-lb. striped bass. Congrats Richie. You were TRULY THE CHAMP!!!!!! We are looking forward to once again hosting this group in June (GREAT bunch of fisherpersons and ALWAYS welcomed on the CA III).

Sunday, 5/2, the bluefish bite at the mouth of the inlet was INTENSE!! Steve Clegg of Tabernacle, NJ took the brass ring with his 9.8-lb. bluefish.

We will be fishing for stripers the next two weekends. The Federal Government has made us the most POLICED TO DEATH business in the country (many thanx). On May 22nd we will be targeting black sea bass daily...AMEN...
